Best known for his wooden reliefs, Holubec studied art and architecture in Austria. After immigrating to the US (1949) studied interior design at the Chicago Art Institute. He instructed
drawing at the International Art Academy (Chicago). He was the owner of an art gallery in Glen Spey, NY. He had multiple shows throughout the US.
