Original Rem Bahautdyn (1927 Kazan, Tatarstan - Lives in Pennsylvania)
 
Artist of Tatar and Ukrainian descent. His father was killed and his mother imprisoned by Soviet authorities. He is a graduate of the Kyiv State Art Institute. In 1972, he and his brother escaped the Soviet Union to the USA. His artworks include graphics, oil paintings, silk screens, watercolors, repousse reliefs and mosaics.
